ANY TIME IS …APEROL SPRITZ Time… in Italy

This famous aperitif or aperitivo, now known the world over, was created in Italy in 1919 and show
at the International Fair in Padova (Padua). It is a perfect cocktail for this hot summer in Europe, I enjoy wherever I go in Italy.  Aperol has now been bought out by Campari.

As the producers of this great drink describe:
Bright orange in colour, it has a unique taste, thanks to the secret recipe, which has never been changed, with infusions of selected ingredients including bitter and sweet oranges and many other herbs (including rhubarb) and roots in perfect proportions.

I guess you wonder what is the exact recipe?

Or you can watch the official video  to see how the Italians make it!

Here follows the official recipe.

How to make an Aperol Spritz:
Start by adding ice into the glass then pour in 3 parts Prosecco (or sparkling wine), then 2 parts Aperol and 1 part  soda, top with a slice of orange. This serving avoids the Aperol settling at the bottom.
There it is!
